Holly Hashimi | HeartSpark
Holly Hashimi is the founder of HeartSpark, a non-profit organization established in 2023 in Fort McMurray, Canada. Recognizing the need for accessible friendship and mental health programming for girls in the community, Holly leveraged her background in journalism, education, and community service to create a safe, supportive space for young people. Her dedication to the well-being of youth is reflected in the countless hours she has invested in developing and facilitating HeartSpark’s programs.
A proud dog mom to Mrs. Pudding, who has become a beloved mascot for HeartSpark, Holly dreams of opening a HeartSpark Clubhouse to expand the organization’s reach. Mrs. Pudding and Holly are both certified in pet therapy with Pets and Wellness Society Wood Buffalo.
Holly’s community efforts have not gone unnoticed; in 2023, she was honored with the Sana Elache Legacy Award for Community Engagement, followed by the 2024 Heart of Wood Buffalo Volunteer Recognition Award for her ongoing contributions to the region.
