We’re so excited to introduce you to some of our mentors in this series of posts. This week meet Noelle from Sparks to Flames. It’s been incredible to watch Noelle build this beautiful business and offer such inspiring and empowering events for teen girls. Enjoy learning a little more about her below:

Before you joined the Youth Mentor Training, what were you doing?

Primary school teaching.

What’s your WHY behind working with young people?

To empower girls to be themselves so that they can live life to the fullest.

Tell us about your business:

My business is called Sparks to Flames and it’s based on the NSW Central Coast. My soul mission is to empower girls to recognise their unique spark and fanning that uniqueness into an almighty, confident flame that burns bright for the world to see. I do this by mentoring girls via workshops through a range of issues that affect young people today. These issues can include friendship, bullying, resilience, body image, anxiety, peer pressure, menstruation and social media. In my workshops, girls are given information, skills and strategies to help them overcome issues in a confident and courageous way. Sparks to Flames workshops also aims to instil a strong sense of self by helping girls to recognise and celebrate the qualities that make them unique.

If you could give one piece of advice to your teen self, what would it be?

Don’t hide away!!!! Let your beautiful, magical and unique flame burn bright for all of the world to see. Because the most powerful and beautiful person you can be is YOU.
