After being inspired by the Goddess Group for women that Melissa Ambrossini runs in Sydney and the Standing Strong Wellness Club for girls in Perth, who both run weekly or fortnightly events for women and girls, we felt that it was time to create a regular space for teen girls on the coast to come together and connect in a nurturing space.

We’ve found that subtle reminders on a regular basis to be kind to ourselves and each other, as well as a strong support network of friends outside of school strengthen confidence and resilience in teen girls.  

We’ve been asking our past students if they are keen for this and have been overwhelmed by the beautiful response we’ve had from many of them – all keen to come along and expand on the knowledge that they’ve already learned during the courses, ask questions and reconnect.

So, we’ve launched Shine From Within Sisterhood Evenings!  Past students are encouraged to come along and we are also very keen to welcome in any other girls that would like to come along too.  The more the merrier!   So come along on your own, bring a friend and hang out with us in a non-judgemental, nurturing space.

These are casual evenings where the focus will be on facilitating group discussion rather than ‘teaching’ a certain topic each night.  The discussion will be lead by the girls that come along that night and we hope to create more of a sense of community in this way.
